Veli: ...So! um, that dinner was, uh, pretty nice.
Stella: it was.
Veli: And, um, you think, you know, do you, you know?
Stella: yes, Veli, she's wonderful, though i'm not sure you're deserving of her.
Veli: Well-
Stella: i'm joking, dearest. i'm very glad you've found someone like her to care about you.
Veli: Thanks mom, but, you know, maybe next time, don't be so...
Stella: coy?
Stella: i apologize. i had not properly interacted with her yet, and i just needed to make sure.
Veli: Ugh, okay, mom, I get it.
Stella: i'm very sure you do.
As the two clear their place, Stella continues to poke at Veli, but in the fun sort of way. The sort of way that makes you smile and shake your head and say, my mom is such a jerk.
Meanwhile, however, Reese decides her time has come. Veli pulls her back inside and she gets off to bed. Half an hour later, once the stars are shining bright, she sneaks her way out of the house.
